This Week in Your Government
Monday, March 28 – Friday, April 1, 2011
Hopes for a bipartisan budget agreement in Sacramento are fading as speculation of majority votes, fall initiatives, and signature gathering begin to make their way into the headlines. Follow the action in the Legislature, if any, live on the California Channel.
The future of redevelopment agencies is still unclear – their elimination is a significant component of Governor’s Brown’s budget proposals – but the Davis City Council moves forward this week to allocate funds garnered through the recent sale of bonds (interest rates reported here.) Follow the agenda link below for the projects under discussion and staff recommendation.
The Davis Joint Unified School District Board of Education is on spring hiatus until April 21. Just a reminder, if you are not currently registered to vote, you must register by April 18 to vote on Measure A. Details available on the Yolo Council Elections website.
