Davis Takes Center Stage for Civic Discourse

Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman will face off at UC Davis in the first debate between the Democrat and Republican candidates for governor of California. The debate is jointly sponsored by Capital Public Radio, KCRA-TV (NBC) Sacramento, The Sacramento Bee and UC Davis. Time and location are 6:00 -7:00 pm in the UC Davis Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. Though tickets are no longer available, you can watch the debate live on UCD’s streaming video.

9:00 am – Yolo County Supervisors - approve site and concept for a veteran memorial bench honoring Staff Sergeant William Charles Shinn on the east side of the Erwin W. Meier Administration building; public hearing to take testimony regarding a Resolution of Necessity for the acquisition of real property for the County Road 98 Safety Improvement Project; report on 2009-10 year end fund balances; approve 2009/10 year end appropriation transfers; adopt resolution approving the 2010-11 budget including amendments that allocate funds to finance deficits; approve a loan to finance deficits from the Landfill Closure Fund; and authorize the County Administrator to return with any additional recommended changes to the budget.
