This Week in Your Government

Monday, July 12 – Friday, July 16, 2010

Last week, we bid farewell to outgoing Mayor Ruth Asmundson and Councilmember Lamar Heystek.  This week, we welcome incoming Councilmembers Rochelle Swanson & Joe Krovoza.  Also at Tuesday’s largely ceremonial meeting, Don Saylor will begin filling the Mayor’s seat.  Who will take over as Mayor Pro Tem? There seems to be uncertainty on that point.  So, show up or tune in and find out!  As August approaches, you’ll find that most of our opportunities for public participation in local government will wane until September returns with a plethora of events.

And the following are your opportunities to participate in the public process this week.  Click on links for locations and full agendas.  As always, if important events have been overlooked, add them as a comment.
