This Week in Your Government
Monday, June 28 – Friday, July 1, 2010
It’s a mad dash to finish the people’s business before the 2009-10 fiscal year ends. Davis City Council and the Yolo County Board of Supervisors meet this week and the Davis Joint Unified School District Board of Education meets not once, but twice.
On Monday, the Board will approve the contract of new superintendent Winfred Roberson and on Wednesday will adopt the final budget for the 2010-11 school year. Final, that is, until the state gets around to adopting their own 2010-11 budget and the school district must adjust. The Board of Education is in recess during the month of July.
City Council will hold a ceremony for outgoing councilmembers Ruth Asmundson and Lamar Heystek on July 6, and swear in new councilmembers Rochelle Swanson and Joe Krovoza on July 13.
The Yolo County Board of Supervisors will meet on their regular schedule during July.
