This Week in Your Government

Monday, June 7 – Friday, June 11, 2010

Tuesday is Election Day!

To read the voter guide, find your polling place, check your voter registration, or find the status of your mail ballot visit Yolo Elections Office website.

Graduations Galore

This week, the Davis Joint Unified School District will be graduating seniors from Martin Luther King High School, Da Vinci High School, the Davis School for Independent Studies and Davis Senior High School.  You’ll find event details in “Commencing the Commencements.”

These are followed by a fine Davis tradition, Grad Night, an all-night, drug and alcohol-free celebration for Davis’ graduating seniors. Graduates spend the night enjoying music, dancing, casino games, outdoor activities, a hypnotist show, karaoke, refreshments and a huge drawing.  You can usually get a sneak peak at the decorations – always spectacular – at Emerson Junior High  on Friday afternoon.

The following are your opportunities to participate in the public process this week.  Follow links to locations and full agendas.  As always, if an important meeting is missing, please add it in a comment.
