Saving California Communities: What Next?
2nd Annual Davis Conference on Government Reform
Saturday, May 15, 2010. Registration and coffee at 8:30 am, program from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the new UC Davis Conference Center at Vanderhoef Plaza near the Mondavi Center. Admission and parking are free. Lunch provided.
It’s been a year–what’s next? Last May, Saving California Communities brought together more than 150 people from around the region to discuss the impact of California’s broken state financial and governance systems on local communities and learn about reform efforts underway to rebuild these systems. Join us again this coming May 15 to reflect on what happened with these reform efforts over the past year and chart a course for the future of California communities. We will hear and talk with writer and former Sacramento Bee columnist Peter Schrag, California Forward’s Jim Mayer, former Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin, and others.
Space is limited. Please RSVP by May 12 to be included in the lunch count. For more information, visit www.SavingCA.org, write info@SavingCA.org or call (530)304-6360.
