Whenever in the People’s Republic

I have a joke!  Let me forewarn you, that I have a very, very silly taste in jokes.  Are you ready anyway?

If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?

Pilgrims!!

They also bring the return of my bright purple rainboots, which have gotten a couple holes while they were in the closet…  Bummer.  And it seems that they bring very, very little to do this weekend…  Double-bummer.  But you know what?  There’s all sorts of great right and relevant culture going on ALL THE TIME, right under our very noses.

For example, on rainy days you could go to…

Explorit [FAMILY + LEARN]

2801 2nd St

11am-5pm (special Spring Break Hours!)

$4 general admission, FREE for 3 & under or Teachers with school ID

I think that learning as a recreation should be promoted more in our society.   Explorit seems like a great place to get informed about as well as develop a genuine curiosity in the world around you.  Besides, family trips to any museum are awesome!

OR, if it happens to be sunny, you could check out…

Historic Davis Bike Tour [BIKE + LEARN]

All about Davis

Whenever

FREE

I don’t know if you know this, but Davis is really, REALLY into bikes.  While they’re great for getting you from point A to point B, there are some rides that you should take just for the heck of it.  Here’s one that takes you around Davis to look at 26 of its landmarks!

Whatever the case, make sure you get thee outside this weekend!!

Happy holidays!

Hi! And thanks to those who came to see our (KYL) show in Freeborn Hall! Just a little correction. The capital of Finland is in fact not Helinski but Helsinki. Just thought you might want to know ;-)
