This Spring Weekend in the People’s Republic
I went to a career faire yesterday. It only made me more nervous about my prospects post-graduation. Labs are too sterile for me, Classics isn’t applicable to everyday (current) events, and the job market is intimidatingly understocked. What’s a double major, graduating senior to do?
I’m thinking I might just take some time off of school/work/life and WWOOF around the US for a bit. I want to do something removed from academia, outside of northern California. Fits the bill, right?
Maybe I want to make things with my hands. Maybe I’m just a hippy at heart. Or maybe I’m just fed-up with stressing about my schedule for next year.
Regardless of the motivations and outcomes of whatever best-laid plans I make, there is so much right and relevant culture to do in the here-and-now. Get thee outside and enjoy the return of beautiful weather!
