This Weekend in the People’s Republic

Finals week has rolled around once again!  Though high on stress and low on sleep, I can’t help but realize that this is my second to last time that I’ll have to deal with this feeling as an undergraduate.  It’s almost enough to feel nostalgic.

…Almost.

Anyway, you should try some of this right and relevant culture if you have time and inclination.  I have the latter, but I have a hot date with this Metabolism final tomorrow!  Except by “hot” I mean “fiery inferno”, and by “date” I mean “of death, destruction and peptide bonds”.

So get thee outside into this GLOREOUS weather!  If not for you, then for me!!

By the by, here’s my song of the moment; that man’s cello does wonders for the stress levels.  Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Community Harvest [GIVE]

Village Harvest

Meet at Cost Plus Parking Lot

12-3pm

FREE, just RSVP

Have a couple hours to spare this weekend?  What better way than to get out there and pick some delicious fruits (citrus!) from local backyards!!  At the end, you leave having met a group of great people, with the knowledge that you helped contribute anywhere between 500 to 1000 pounds of fruit to a local organization, AND with some of the imperfect fruit for you to munch on later!  If this weather doesn’t look like it’s going to hold out, you can call their (toll-free) line after 8am to confirm that harvesting is still on:  1-888-378-4841, EXT 730.

Streb: Brave [DANCE]

Mondavi Center Presenting Program

Jackson Hall

3pm

See Website

They claim that, in watching Streb, you will be on the edge of your seat and that it will take your breath away.  Now, I don’t want to make any crazy promises but it DOES look like a pretty stellar performance!

Lucy Potter is still trying to get her land legs back after disembarking from the 4-year cruise of college. She is currently working a real-life job in the Bay Area, the earnings from which should pay for her adventures around the world.
