This Week in YOUR Government
Monday, December 7 – Friday, December 11
This week your local governments team up to offer a free H1N1 flu vaccination clinic on Saturday, December 12. The following notice, together with additional information, is available on the City of Davis website:
Yolo County Health Department, in partnership with the Davis Joint Unified School District, Unitrans, and the city of Davis, will host a free H1N1 flu vaccination on Saturday, December 12th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The clinic will be held at Harper Junior High School, 4000 E Covell Blvd, in Davis.
Targeted Groups
Due to a limited supply of vaccine, the Yolo County Health Department is only providing H1N1 vaccines at this clinic to the following high risk groups:
- Parents of children under six months
- Children and young people between the ages of six months and 24 years (children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and those under 10 will need a second vaccination within 21 days)
- Pregnant women
This clinic is targeted to those individuals who do not have access to medical care. Individuals with private health insurance are encouraged to contact their health care provider to receive a vaccination.
Free Shuttle Service
Unitrans will run two free shuttles to Harper Junior High on the day of the clinic. The West/Central Davis route will stop at Patwin Elementary and at the corner of Scripps and Hanover (behind Anderson Plaza). The Olive Drive/South Davis route will stop at the Cesar Chavez Apartment Complex (1220 Olive Drive) and Marguerite Montgomery Elementary School. See the city’s website for route times and map.
