Seen Around Town: October 2009
Picture Gallery from Davis Senior High School Homecoming Parade and Target Grand Opening.
When this site was first launched, we intended to take lots of pictures around town and hoped that our readers would send us Dalebrity (Davis + local celebrity) sightings on a regular basis. Well, you know how it goes… even with the best of intentions.
Last Friday, however, the beautiful fall weather forced your editor out of his house and into the streets to capture the DHS Homecoming Parade. I don’t know if it’s because of the brand new stadium or simply because Blue Devil pride is on the rise, but that parade just Laid. It. Out!
After the jump, pics galore from today’s Homecoming Parade and from the Target Grand Opening a couple of weeks ago.

Football players and cheerleaders show their Blue Devil pride on a sight one simply never sees in downtown Davis: a double-axle big rig!

My sources tell me that the parking lot at our new Target is consistently full. Whether you like it or not, Target is here to stay… let’s just hope they maintain all of that nice drought resistant parking lot landscaping. Below, find some pics from the very understated Grand Opening event. I only went to measure the square footage of the grocery section and check up on these LEED details, promise!
