The City of Davis is holding a public forum to obtain input on a  community-wide energy and greenhouse gas reduction plan. Everyone is welcome. The purpose of the public forum is threefold: first, to
briefly describe what the city’s Climate Action Team is considering in  terms of actions and strategies to respond to climate change; second, to obtain some feedback from the public on these ideas; and, third, to  solicit your ideas for inclusion into the eventual plan. Come let the city know what you are thinking.

The first half hour will be a presentation from city staff outlining  the draft plan. The plan is broken down into four subgroups:

  • Energy Use
    and Production
  • Waste and Consumption
  • Transportation
  • Land Use
    and Community Design

The rest of the time will be for people to  circulate to stations for each of the subgroups, to ask questions, to “vote” on which ideas they like or dislike, and to contribute their own ideas for reducing energy use and greenhouse gas production.

Be there or be square.
