A Vital & Fair Forum

The New Kid in Town

Our community needs to be better engaged in an online dialogue.  The newly launched Davis Voice is that vital and fair forum

Every year thousands of humans emigrate to The People’s Republic of Davis.  Quickly, they come to learn that our idyllic burg is unlike most rural college towns.  Supporting the compact urban form, ubiquitous bicycle paths, and thriving Farmers Market is an unusually active, engaged, loquacious, and divergently progressive citizenry.

Hotel CaliforniaSo, enter another new kid in town: The Davis Voice.  We’re going to lift away the thousand veils that obscure the beautiful machinery of this town.  We hope to inform and entertain you with hard news, confirmed facts, insider stories and expert opinions.

To the main dish we’ll apply a liberal seasoning of nightlife happenings, cultural opportunities, Dalebrity (Davis/celebrity… get it? get it??) sightings, fervent pleas for sanity and a little bit of funny.

We look forward to hearing from you as we set forth on this  venture.  We encourage rational and civil discourse on this site, so if you’d like to comment, please take a couple of minutes to authenticate yourself.  Anonymous comments are not allowed.  However, your TypePad registered screen name can hide your identity and we will protect your right to post under a pseudonym.  We will not protect libelous comments or ad hominem attacks. Please send news tips, questions and Dalebrity Sightings to: tips@davisvoice.com

Once again, welcome to a new venture that honors civility, fairness and thoughtful dialogue: The Davis Voice.

Kemble K. Pope chooses to be a downtown Davisite and is proud to have been born a 6th generation Texan. He likes to garden, play with his huge dog in the great outdoors and say, "No... maybe... ok, but just a little" to folks who ask him to volunteer.
